The recently opened Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre were looking for new ways to dress their upstairs foyer to make it a more versatile rental space. Lighting Designer, Luke Criss was contacted to spec for the job, he says “The concept had to be ergonomic, and was not to interfere with the minimalist styled architecture. By day it had to camouflage into its surroundings. But by night it would have to create a whole new atmosphere and experience like no other” “After many LED products were tested, the Anolis LED were irrefutably the best product for the job. They are stylish, small, and optically superior.” Says Luke. The Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre’s Technical Manager says “…that the space is now a wonderful environment to house cocktail and an intimate dinner function.
To have such control over the mood and theme of the foyer space at your finger tips and also the long life of the LED is what we were looking for in a product, and the Anolis product range was the only product that could fit into the tuff demands that our Centre required.” Dominica supplied and installed a total of 138 fixtures and worked closely with Anolis (ULA Group) on the project. Anolis ARCsource 6 and ARCsource 3 were installed through-out the foyer and are able to be programmed via DMX and broken up into twenty-one zones to suit any individual’s needs. At night the centre can colour change and be eye pleasing to all in the surrounding areas, Anolis is the signature on this architectural canvas, It makes it one of the most attractive land marks on the coast. |
